Sales Operations Business Partner

Department: OPERATIONS/ORGANIZATIONAL PLANNING
Location: Boston, MA

JOB SUMMARY: The Sales Operations Business Partner is responsible for ensuring smooth and effective program & process operations across the Sales organization, including Product and Marketing. You will be aligned within the Operations & Organizational Planning group and be the key consultative Liaison to the Sales business units. The Sales Operations Business Partner serves as a critical connection and catalyst to leverage and scale operational processes and stability across the designated groups. You will serve as a key subject matter and process expert, lead cross functional initiatives, and continually partner with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless program operations and a positive stakeholder experience.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with leaders across the Sales and Client Management, Product and Marketing business units to understand strategically and tactically the key business & program needs, emerging priorities and long-term vision; translating these into actionable & scalable operational roadmaps.
  • Build, grow & deepen viable collaborative relationships across all levels of the designated business units, while aligning with the core Operations & Organizational Planning team as well as other stakeholders.
  • Represent, coach and grow a strong and balanced operational mindset & perspective within the designated business units and across the larger enterprise.
  • Drive the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the program’s operational strategy in alignment with organizational goals; mindful of stability, scalability, optimization and forward momentum.
  • Represent and champion the program & participant experience functions and constituent voices in organizational planning discussions and other strategic forums.
  • Manage complex or high-priority operational issues and initiatives, providing guidance, direction, and decision-making to drive timely resolution.
  • Define, monitor and report operational trends; using data insights to optimize program transparency and as well as improve customer experience.
  • Support the development and/or review of training and communication materials.
  • Lead and contribute to strategic cross functional initiatives related to operational excellence, program scalability, and user experience enhancements.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business management or related field
  • Demonstrated success in planning, managing and scaling functional operational processes
  • 4+ years relevant experience in Sales or Insurance organizations; ideally in a health insurance (or comparable) environment, managing complex operations
  • Excellent critical thinking, strategic planning and problem-solving skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills to serve as a trusted advisor and build strong relationships with colleagues
  • Demonstrated time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
  • Advanced communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening
  • Ability to give and receive feedback and constructive criticism from a variety of channels

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of health plan benefits, processes and operations, ideally in Medical or Dental.
  • Experience in Massachusetts insurance environment.
  • Strong process mindset, with solid problem analysis & resolution skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Incumbent must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to operate personal computers and related technologies.
  • Incumbent works primarily in a remote environment or a private or shared office environment.

The target hiring range for this role is $92,480 - $108,800 (Annually). The starting base salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and other job-related factors.
